mikewith kidsRingwood North Primary School is situated in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne in a leafy residential area.

The school offers educational possibilities.  Our aim is to constantly strive to improve the learning outcomes for students in an atmosphere that is caring and supportive and in which successes are shared and celebrated.  Students experience a comprehensive curriculum inclusive of a range of extracurricular activities.

During Education Week, 2006, Ringwood North Primary School was announced as the winner of the Victorian Education Excellence Award for Curriculum Innovation. This achievement recognized, state-wide, the outstanding and innovative Middle Years program operating at this school.  This initiative is continuing with increasing diversity and experimentation.  We are happy to speak to all regarding our innovative work.  Opportunities in extension programs are provided for high achievers in all classrooms across the school, as is Literacy / Numeracy support for students.

Ringwood North Primary School is proud of its Performing Arts and Creative Arts programs.  All children receive instruction in classroom music and have the opportunity to join the school choir, participate in the Instrumental Music program, join the school band or join one of several performance ensembles.  Instrumental lessons are held during the school day by a team of highly able musicians at very affordable cost.  The school stages its musical productions every two years, last year featuring a very successful season of Wind in the Willows.  The school choir feeds directly into the production’s musical chorus, and enters eistedfodds in the non-production year, achieving many successes.  Our Creative Arts program across the school is second to none.  All children access the talents of our staff to work in various media and contribute to installation projects around the school.

Students participate in a Physical Education program across all levels, and take part in a wide range of interschool sporting competition from Year 5.  Individual students have reached state selection in football, athletics and diving.
